We are currently experiencing a technical issue that is impacting our ability to receive faxes. As a result, clinical documentation and prescription requests sent via fax may not be received. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, though we do not yet have an estimated time for resolution. In the meantime, we encourage patients to use the patient portal for prescription refill requests or to call your primary care provider for any urgent needs. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to restore our systems.

FAQs

Does Urgent Care accept walk-ins?

InterMed's Urgent Care is by appointment only.  We speak with patients to make sure they do not require a visit to the Emergency Department. After we discuss their concerns, we schedule an appointment to ensure care team availability.

When do I need Urgent Care?

Urgent Care helps with various conditions including minor allergic reactions, abscesses, cuts, minor burns, rashes, insect bites, fever, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, back pain, UTI symptoms, abdominal pain and more.

Emergency Department vs. Urgent Care?

The Emergency Department is best for life or limb threatening issues. If you were to go to the ED without those serious concerns you would be affected by long wait times and poor experiences. InterMed's Urgent Care allows patients to be seen efficiently by scheduling an appointment to ensure care team availability. Urgent Care is best used for non life threatening conditions that need to be treated quickly such as fever, UTI symptoms, back pain, rashes, insect bites, minor allergic reactions and more.
