After more than 20 years practicing emergency medicine in several Maine hospitals, I am pleased to be joining the amazing Urgent Care team here at InterMed. It is truly a privilege to assist patients of all ages in finding comfort and guidance as they confront acute health concerns.
I was born and raised in southern New England and spent many summers in Maine growing up. Following a brief detour to California for an engineering degree, I worked for several years in Ohio designing consumer products before eventually succumbing to a latent interest in the health sciences and enrolling in medical school. Upon completing my emergency medicine residency in Philadelphia, I honored a long-term goal of returning to New England, and settled in Maine as I honestly can’t think of a better place to live and raise kids than right here.
Outside of work, our family enjoys a multitude of year-round outdoor activities in the region, most notably cycling, boating and alpine skiing. I am an avid DIYer, often involved in wide range of repair and home improvement projects. We also spend time with youth sports and school activities, enjoying local music and theatre, and trying some of the many amazing local eateries.
