My name is Lauren Jamele-Townley, and I’m thrilled to be joining InterMed’s Pediatric team.
I hail from just outside of Boston and earned my undergraduate degree at Boston University. After a few years of experience as an EMT/emergency room technician, I ventured to Maine for medical school and residency.
While I approached medical school rotations with an open mind and was captivated by multiple specialties, pediatrics always held a special place in my heart. It was during my residency that I found myself drawn to the primary care clinic, where the bonds I formed with patients and their families became deeply meaningful. It became evident to me that my calling lay in primary care pediatrics.
It is such an honor working with children and their families to form strong partnerships that empower them to achieve their health goals all while emphasizing the importance of a healthy body and mind.
My husband and I have embraced Maine as our home and feel immensely fortunate to be raising our son here. Continuing my career in this wonderful community brings me great happiness. Outside of work, I cherish moments with my family, whether biking together, enjoying family game nights, building LEGO creations with my son, playing the piano or relaxing with a good book at the beach.
