I am excited to be part of InterMed, where I can continue my passion for pediatric care. Having served the Portland community since 2002, I've witnessed the journey of children from their earliest moments to their first steps into adulthood.

My journey in pediatrics began as a medical student in Philadelphia, where I discovered the joy of tending to children's health and well-being. To me, pediatrics is not just a profession; it's an opportunity to create lasting connections with my patients while emphasizing the importance of preventive care.

My goal is to help weave healthy habits into daily life, nurturing both the body and mind. When a child is ill, I believe in a shared decision-making approach grounded in evidence-based medicine. My approach is personalized, collaborative and firmly rooted in the latest medical knowledge. I am a strong proponent of vaccinations and their benefits.

Originally, I am from The Netherlands, but I've called Maine home since my residency. My husband and I have four wonderful children and two dogs. We enjoy exploring the breathtaking outdoors that Maine offers year-round. In my downtime, you'll often find me with my family, out for a run, hiking, baking or reading a mystery.

I look forward to embarking on this journey with you and your family. Together, we'll make each step a healthy one.
