We are currently experiencing a technical issue that is impacting our ability to receive faxes. As a result, clinical documentation and prescription requests sent via fax may not be received. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, though we do not yet have an estimated time for resolution. In the meantime, we encourage patients to use the patient portal for prescription refill requests or to call your primary care provider for any urgent needs. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to restore our systems.

Hi, my name is Monica Schoenbaum, and I am a pediatric nurse practitioner.
My one regret in my adult life was not going into healthcare. I wanted to be a doctor when I was younger, but never did. As I got older and felt unfulfilled with law, I decided to pursue what I’d always wanted to do but did it in the form of nursing.
There was one kid on the weekend, where I primarily work, who needed a strep swab and wasn’t feeling great – but as she was leaving, I heard her say after seeing me, “that was really fun!” I get so much joy from seeing kids because they just see the world in such a non-critical lens and bring a smile to my face by their purity, all day long.
I am a Mainer. I grew up in the County. I love being in Maine, even though my family settled more south. I started at InterMed as a nurse and came back as an NP. The camaraderie and support I’ve received on both ends of this spectrum keeps bringing me back!
I have two golden retrievers who keep me busy. I’m active in Cape Elizabeth Football Boosters as their treasurer (my youngest son plays), I love tennis, and being anywhere near water any time of year. I also love Sugarloaf in the winter. All this said, if I could afford to do nothing but travel with my husband, kids and dogs, I would do just that.
