Our team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, though we do not yet have an estimated time for resolution. In the meantime, we encourage patients to use the patient portal for prescription refill requests or to call your primary care provider for any urgent needs. My name is Mary Burke and I am pediatric physical therapist at InterMed. I enjoy working with children of all ages, treating a variety of diagnoses such as cerebral palsy, torticollis, genetic variations and deletions, toe walking and more. I value providing innovative and collaborative care, working alongside my patients and their families to set and achieve their goals.
I was raised in South Carolina where I attended the University of South Carolina and received my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.
I grew up in a family of medical providers with my father as a general surgeon and mother as a pediatric physical therapist, so I was exposed to the medical field early. I was always fascinated by what they did and how they were able to help people. They made me realize this was something I wanted to do some day as well. I eventually found my passion for helping others move and live with physical therapy.
Following my passion, I decided to move north to New Hampshire where I attended Physical Therapy school at Franklin Pierce University and met my husband, a Maine native.
We decided to move to Maine where I quickly fell in love with the state, enjoying long beach walks, hikes in the mountains and skiing in the winter season. I can often be found accompanied by my sweet black Labrador Retriever, Andie.
