I am a board-certified nurse practitioner with a specialization in the care and treatment of adults from mid adulthood through end of life. I am excited to be part of the InterMed team and to care for patients in the workplace health clinic at L.L.Bean.
I was drawn to healthcare from a young age, motivated by personal experiences and a passion for science and problem solving. My career began as a new graduate nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, where I completed a registered nurse residency program in 2009.
This experience reinforced my desire to advance my career and have a greater degree of autonomy in my practice. My time in the ICU also highlighted the importance of preventive medicine and health promotion. I went on to complete my degree in adult gerontology primary care in 2014 at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
Over the next five years, I gained a range of experience working in a specialty geriatric primary care clinic and an internal medicine primary care clinic at Massachusetts General Hospital, in both clinical and leadership capacities.
In 2019, I moved to Maine with my husband to be closer to family and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle Maine has to offer. I worked as a primary care nurse practitioner at Maine Medical Center in the hospital-based internal medicine clinic before joining InterMed.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time being active outdoors with my husband, son and our dog.
