My name is Katherine Caldwell, and I have been practicing primary care since 2008.

 

I grew up in western Pennsylvania, but came to New England in 1994, first to Massachusetts for college, then on to Maine in 2004 for my residency at Maine Medical Center.

 

My husband’s career took us away from Portland for a few years, but we are very glad to be back. We enjoy exploring the state with our children, and we have family and friends who travel from far and wide to visit this beautiful place.

 

At InterMed, I am pleased to work alongside the finest caregivers in the area. I am board-certified in internal medicine and obesity medicine, and I am a member of the American College of Physicians and Obesity Medicine Association.

 

I always apply the principles of evidence-based medicine, while incorporating advice on healthy lifestyle practices whenever possible to help patients achieve optimal health outcomes.

Sometimes small adjustments in daily habits can make a big difference in preventing or even reversing diseases like high blood pressure or diabetes, and I enjoy guiding patients toward paths that will help them feel better and be healthier.
