I think the important things in our lives—our relationships, careers and passions—are dependent on our health. If our minds and bodies aren’t thriving, we don’t have the time, energy or resources for these other parts of us to flourish.
My role is to guide patients toward better health. I see myself as an investigator, problem solver, coach and cheerleader. Being a physician is the best job for me!
I have worked at InterMed since 2019 practicing the full spectrum of internal medicine, seeing patients from ages 18 to over 100 years old. I enjoy preventative medicine, managing the care of medically complex adults and everything in between. Some of my specific clinical interests include women's health, liver disease, infectious diseases and end-of-life care.
As a lifelong learner, I’m thrilled to also teach medical students and resident physicians at Maine Medical Center. I feel strongly about practicing evidence-based and cost-conscious medicine, and I serve on InterMed's Quality Improvement Committee.
I only recommend tests and treatments when they are supported by good science and I truly think they are important to enhance a patient's well-being. Physician leadership is important to me, and I’m thankful that InterMed supports this.
I’m from Indianapolis, Indiana and moved to Maine with my husband, Ryan, who is originally from New England. We have a son and daughter who are our greatest sources of joy, along with our giant fluffy dog.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, house projects and hosting family and friends.
