We are currently experiencing a technical issue that is impacting our ability to receive faxes. As a result, clinical documentation and prescription requests sent via fax may not be received. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, though we do not yet have an estimated time for resolution. In the meantime, we encourage patients to use the patient portal for prescription refill requests or to call your primary care provider for any urgent needs. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to restore our systems.

My name is Amy Sedgwick, and I am an emergency physician.
I grew up outside of Boston and did my undergraduate training at Wellesley College, where I majored in economics. After a brief stint as a financial analyst in New York City, I decided that taking care of people was much more my calling than finance, and I returned to Boston to pursue premedical studies at Harvard.
I went on to attend the University of Vermont College of Medicine and graduated in 2004. I completed my residency in emergency medicine at Maine Medical Center in 2007. My husband, Peter, and I loved Maine so much, we decided to stay. Peter is a family and sports medicine physician in our Yarmouth office.
My emergency medicine background has fostered my ability to live “in the moment” and meet my patients in that moment, providing the best care I can. My training and experience have equipped me with the skills to navigate complicated, rapidly changing circumstances with the confidence that I can take care of anyone, anywhere, anytime. It is a true honor and privilege to have a patient who has never met me before trust me to take care of him or her.
Maine has been an amazing place to practice medicine and raise my wonderful girls, Alexis and Gabrielle. I am a senior teacher with Yoga Medicine, where I strive to help people achieve wellness from within. The people who live in our beautiful state are warm, genuine and kind. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
